Zomboid Mod Installation Guide

Step 1: Load the Mod Organizer Tool

Access the Legion Zomboid Mod Organizer

Option A: Separate Lines Format

Enter each mod ID on a separate line:

2829744781
2829744785
2829744783

Then click "Add Mods"

Option B: B42 Mod Format

Use the semicolon-separated format:

3171167894\damnlib;3435796523\88toyotaHilux;

Then click "Load Mod List"

Note: This will also load the mod list on the tool with the selections already made

Option C: Collection ID

Enter the collection ID:

2829744783

Then click "Add Collections"

Important: The tool has outputs for B42 format and B41. The B42 format is what the devs might change to once they get everything working. The format may not work without the MP mod. Use the B41 format if you're not using the mod.

Step 2: Optional - Verify Dependencies

Click "Verify Dependencies"

  • This ensures your mods are ordered before the mod dependencies and adds mod dependencies
  • Warning: If a mod lists both B41 and B42 dependencies, you will have to manually remove the B41 dependencies afterwards

Step 3: Copy the Output

Copy the output for Mods= and WorkshopItems= format

Step 4: Locate Your Server Settings File

File Locations:

Server Type Directory Path
Hosted Servers .cache/server/servername.ini
B42 DLMP (Local) C:/users/username/zomboid42/server/servername.ini
B41 (Local) C:/users/username/zomboid/server/servername.ini

Step 5: Access Settings File Through Server Panel
