This guide covers how to set up and configure your R5Reloaded dedicated server hosted with Legion Hosting. R5Reloaded is a modded Apex Legends server project that allows private matches and custom game modes. For admin commands and server management, see R5Reloaded Server Admin Guide.
1. Accessing Your Server
- Log in to GPanel.
- Select your R5Reloaded server from the server list.
- Your server IP and port are displayed on the Console tab. See How to Find Your Server IP and Port for details.
2. Startup Variables
Configure these settings from the Startup tab in GPanel:

3. Playlists
R5Reloaded supports various game mode playlists. Set the PLAYLIST startup variable to one of these:

4. How R5Reloaded Works
R5Reloaded runs Apex Legends through Wine (a Windows compatibility layer) on the Linux server. This is handled automatically by the panel -- no additional setup is required.
5. Connecting to Your Server
- Download the R5Reloaded client from r5reloaded.com.
- Launch the R5Reloaded client.
- Open the server browser and find your server, or use the console to connect directly:
connect IP:PORT
6. First-Time Setup Checklist
- Set a
SERVER_NAMEin the Startup tab. - Choose a
PLAYLISTfor your preferred game mode. - Start the server and verify it shows
Installed NetKeyin the console. - Connect using the R5Reloaded client and test.
