Path of Titans Admin Setup and Mod Support

This guide covers admin setup and mod support for your Path of Titans dedicated server hosted with Legion Hosting, including how to promote admins, common admin commands, installing mods, and custom maps. For initial server setup, auth tokens, startup variables, and connection instructions, see Path of Titans Server Setup Guide.

Admin Setup

Path of Titans provides an in-game admin system for managing your server. Admin commands can be used to manage players, teleport, spawn dinosaurs, and more.

Becoming an Admin

  1. Connect to your server as a player.
  2. Open the in-game chat by pressing Enter.
  3. Type /promote <YourAlderonID> in the server console (GPanel Console tab) to grant yourself admin privileges. Your Alderon ID can be found in the Alderon Games launcher or website under your account profile.
Admin via server console: You can also manage admin roles directly from the GPanel Console tab by sending commands to the server. This is useful when you need to promote the first admin without being in-game as an admin already.

Common Admin Commands

Command Description
/promote <AlderonID> Promotes a player to admin.
/demote <AlderonID> Removes admin privileges from a player.
/kick <AlderonID> Kicks a player from the server.
/ban <AlderonID> Bans a player from the server.
/unban <AlderonID> Unbans a previously banned player.
/announce <message> Sends a server-wide announcement message to all connected players.
/teleport <AlderonID> Teleports you to the specified player.
/bring <AlderonID> Teleports the specified player to your location.
/heal <AlderonID> Fully heals the specified player's dinosaur.
/setmarks <AlderonID> <amount> Sets the marks (currency) for a player.
/listplayers Displays a list of all currently connected players and their Alderon IDs.
/save Forces a manual world save.
All commands use Alderon IDs, not player names. Use /listplayers to see connected players and their Alderon IDs. Alderon IDs are numeric identifiers tied to each player's Alderon Games account.

Mod Support

Path of Titans supports community mods and custom maps through the Alderon Games modding platform. Mods can add new dinosaurs, maps, gameplay mechanics, and cosmetic items to your server.

Installing Mods

  1. Browse available mods on the Alderon Games mod portal or within the game client.
  2. Note the mod IDs you want to install.
  3. On your server, mod configuration is handled through the server's game rules or startup configuration. Mods are typically specified by their mod ID and will be automatically downloaded when the server starts.
  4. Restart your server from the GPanel Console tab after adding mods.
Players must have matching mods. Players connecting to a modded server will need to download the same mods. The game client typically handles this automatically when a player joins a modded server, but large mods may increase connection times.

Custom Maps

Community-created maps are installed as mods. Once a custom map mod is configured on your server, set the SERVER_MAP startup variable to the map's identifier as specified by the mod author.

Mod compatibility: Mods may not be compatible with all game versions or with each other. If your server fails to start after adding mods, try removing recently added mods and restarting. Check the mod's page on the Alderon Games portal for version compatibility notes.
