The Isle Admin Commands

This guide covers how to set up server administration for your The Isle (Evrima) dedicated server, including adding admins via Steam64 IDs, using in-game admin commands, and configuring RCON for remote management. For server setup and configuration, see The Isle Server Setup Guide.

Server Panel: All server management is done through GPanel at gpanel.legionhosting.net.

Adding Admins via ADMINSTEAMID

Server administration in The Isle Evrima is handled through Steam64 IDs. Players whose IDs are listed will automatically have admin privileges when they join the server.

  1. Find the Steam64 ID for each admin. You can look up a Steam64 ID at steamid.io by entering the player's Steam profile URL.
  2. In GPanel, go to the Startup tab.
  3. In the ADMINSTEAMID field, enter the Steam64 IDs separated by commas with no spaces: 
    76561198012345678,76561198087654321
  4. Stop and start the server for the changes to take effect.

Common In-Game Admin Commands

Admins can open the admin command console in-game by pressing the designated key (default: ` or ~). The following are commonly used commands:

Command Description
teleport Teleport to the location you are looking at.
teleporttoplayer [name] Teleport to a specific player.
teleportplayertome [name] Teleport a specific player to your location.
kick [Steam64ID] Kick a player from the server.
ban [Steam64ID] Ban a player from the server.
unban [Steam64ID] Remove a player's ban.
announce [message] Broadcast a server-wide message to all players.
godmode Toggle invulnerability for your character.
grow Instantly grow your dinosaur to full adult size.
setattr health [value] Set your dinosaur's health to a specific value.
listplayers Display a list of all connected players and their Steam64 IDs.

RCON Configuration

RCON allows you to send admin commands remotely without being logged into the game. This is useful for automated server management or administering from a mobile device.

  1. In GPanel, go to the Startup tab.
  2. Set RCON to true.
  3. Set RCON_PASSWORD to a strong, unique password.
  4. Restart the server.
  5. Connect using any RCON client (such as rcon-cli or a web-based RCON tool) using your server's IP and the RCON port shown in GPanel's Network tab.
Keep your RCON password private. Anyone with the RCON password has full admin access to your server. Do not share it publicly or use a weak password.
